  • What is the mission of ACE & TJ's Grin Kids?
    The charity was designed to enhance the lives of children who are chronically disabled and terminally ill on an all expense paid trip to Walt Disney World. Because of their special needs and financial strains, these children and families would not be able to know this experience without the help of ACE & TJ'S GRIN KIDS, a 501c3 charity.

  • When did Grin Kids start?
    We began in 1999 the name is a take off on ACE & TJ's well known phrase "You Grin, You're In".
  • What is the criterion for becoming a Grin Kid?
    You must have a child between the ages of five and twelve that is either chronically disabled or terminally ill.
  • How are the children selected?
    Final recommendations is a collaboration between the Grin Kids' medical team and Board of Directors.
  • From where do the children come?
    Listeners from any station which ACE & TJ are heard. (ACE & TJ have a number of affiliate markets throughout the East Coast)
  • Does Grin Kids do anything else for the Kids throughout the year?
    No, we do fundraising throughout the year in order to take the yearly trip.
  • Is there any cost to the Grin Kids or their families?
    No. Grin Kids pays for air, hotel, and food and for the Disney park tickets. We even supply extra money for souvenirs. Families can bring extra money for additional souvenirs.
  • Is there Grin Kids merchandise for sale and if so, how can I order it?
    Grin Kids has a store on line where you can shop for your favorite ACE & TJ merchandise. Click here to go to the store.

    DONATION QUESTIONS

  • What types of donations do you accept?
    Grin Kids is appreciative of any type of financial support. We accept donations via cash, credit card or check. We also can participate in your company's Charity match program. We are currently in the process of being able to accept stocks. In-kind donations are needed from time to time as well. These items can range from things we can auction off or items we may need for our Disney trip.
  • Are these donations tax deductible?
    Unless otherwise noted, your donations are tax deductible as allowed by the law.

    GENERAL VOLUNTEER QUESTIONS

  • How can I get involved?
    From time to time, we do need volunteers for certain fundraisers. Perfect examples of this would be the 5K/15K race in October, Silent Auctions and general office work. If you'd like to be added to our general volunteer database, please click here and we will contact you as projects warrants.
  • Do you take volunteers to Disney World?
    We do not include volunteers in our trip to Disney World because we have enough help. Between the generosity of staffing from the radio station and the Board of Directors, we have plenty of help.
